Client:
The American School of Bombay caters to children of U.S. nationals living in Mumbai, India, and is managed by the U.S. Consulate. The curriculum, infrastructure and ambience are similar to what would be found in any school based in the United States of America.

Challenge:
A Management Information System (MIS) was required. The system had to integrate various enterprise applications, including purchase ordering, inventory control, payroll and report card mangement. Moreover, the system had to be designed to handle dual currency modes i.e. India Rupees and U.S.Dollars.

Solution:
Comp-Use team of four people designed, programmed, tested and implemented the entire package and trained users at the American School of Bombay. Total project time was a record breaking 6 months.

Technology applied:
Visual Basic 6.0, Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 on MS Windows NT 4.0. with IIS 4.0 loaded.

Result:
The system enabled the school's management to realize significant cost savings in its procurement operations as well as in its, employment related, financial management. Further more the system has strengths and weaknesses of individual students and customize teaching needs in much greater detail than before.
